Business breakfast - Technological Visions in Industry

Business breakfast - Technological Visions in Industry

Time: 15. 11. 2019 from 9:00 until 11:30

Are you interested in technological visions? Do you follow industrial development and think about what technologies and innovations of the present times are here to stay and which ones might run to a dead end? If you are interested in bionics, virtual and augmented reality, cognitive robotics or digitization of industry then we would like to invite you to our Business breakfast - Technological visions in industry.

We would like to offer you a unique opportunity to meet with representatives of technological visionaries from industrial companies, scientists as well as start-ups and a chance to peek under the lid of technological innovations that are slowly but surely changing the world as we know it.
An exclusive business breakfast with a limited number of guests represents a rare opportunity to learn more about cutting edge technologies and a breakthrough research and offers a chance to ask our guests anything you wanted to know about the topic.

Our guests:

Heinrich Frontzek, vicepresident for company communication, Festo AG
In his position as the head of corporate communication he is responsible for communicating Festo’s “concepts of the future” such as bionics. The “Bionic Learning Network” project under his management received the 2010 German Design Award for communication design.

Robert Babuška, professor at TU Delft and at CIIRC CTU
Currently, he is a full professor of Intelligent Control and Robotics at TU Delft, Faculty 3mE, Department of Cognitive Robotics and the head of Machine Learning department at CIIRC CTU. In the past, he made seminal contributions also to the field of nonlinear control and system identification with the use of fuzzy modelling techniques. His current research interests include deep reinforcement learning, adaptive and learning robot control, nonlinear system identification and state-estimation. He has been involved in the applications of these techniques in various fields, ranging from process control to robotics and aerospace. He founded the TU Delft Robotics Institute in 2012

Jan Hovora, owner and CEO of Pocket Virtuality
Founder of Pocket Virtuality – a start-up that focuses on using virtual and augmented reality in industry and is developing a platform for distant presence. He is also a co-founder of Bohemia Interactive where he worked in research and development of RT computer graphics and military simulations with focus on motion capture, 3D laser scanning, low pole modelling and systems for generating vegetation. Pocket Virtuality this year received the Recognition of Excellence award from Deloitte as part of the CE Deloitte Technology Fast 50 2019 Central Europe.

František Podzimek, Head of Sales - Digital Enterprise portfolio for Digital Industries, Siemens Czech republic
